Questions:

Who are we
Our Healing Rooms comprises volunteer team members from churches across Merseyside.  We are a group of ordinary Christians from different local churches and denominations.  Team members are all trained volunteers and work under the guidelines of the International Association of Healing Rooms based in Spokane USA.  We also receive support and advice from local church leaders.

What are Healing Rooms

"Simply a place where anyone can come for Christian prayer for any condition"  Healing Rooms provide a safe, caring and confidential environment where anyone can come to receive Christian prayer for all kinds of physical, mental, emotional or spiritual healing, through the Name of Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide a counselling service.

What Is Healing Rooms - Liverpool

Can Anyone Visit The Healing Rooms
Anyone who is in need of physical, emotional or spiritual healing.

 -  People of any age.
 -  People of any faith.
 -  People who do not have faith.

Healing Rooms are not  a replacement for Professional Medical Advice.  No Medical Recommendations will be made under any circumstances. People will be encouraged not to stop any medical treatment without the consent of their doctor.

The Healing Rooms are for anyone, who for example:

 -   May be waiting for an operation
 -   Have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness
 -   Have a chronic condition or illness
 -   Have a stress-related illness
 -   Have a condition that is not serious

Unfortunately we are unable to offer a counselling service.

Even if you are not ill, you may know a friend, neighbour or family member who may benefit from a visit to the Healing Rooms.  Both adults and children can receive prayer, although children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult.  You don't need to go to church or have a religious background or beliefs - and we won't put you under any pressure regarding this!

What will happen when I come for prayer
When you visit the Healing Rooms you will be greeted by a receptionist and asked to fill in and sign a simple form which asks for information about yourself and what you want prayer for.  These forms are confidential and kept in a locked cabinet.  Only those on the team will see them.  You will be invited to take a seat in our waiting area.

The team of three people who will pray for you will be given your form.  They will spend a few minutes praying before they invite you to join them in a confidential area where they will briefly discuss what you need prayer for, before praying with you.  Each prayer session lasts approximately 20-30 minutes.  Although there is no requirement for you to attend church or have any Christian belief to receive prayer, you will be encouraged to be open to God's healing power.

While some people receive healing straight away, others find their symptoms get better gradually, sometimes after further prayer.  Feel free to return for prayer at any time.  After your visit we will encourage you to read some bible verses relating to healing and these are available for you to take away.  Telling others about answers to prayer is very encouraging to faith.  Please consider filling in a testimony sheet with your story of healing.  Only your first name or initial will be used to ensure confidentiality.

What is the history of Healing Rooms
The Healing Rooms ministry started nearly 100 years ago, when American missionary John G Lake helped establish over 100 churches in Africa.  On returning home he opened a Healing Room in the city of Spokane in Washington State, USA and from 1915-1920, over 100,000 healings were recorded.

In 1999 Cal Pierce felt called by God to re-open the Healing Rooms in Spokane. Since then, Healing Rooms have been set up all over the world, representing over 40 nations, under the umbrella organisation of the International Association of Healing Rooms.
